Yes. With today's digital camera technology, 4K and high-resolution optical lenses magnified images seen through digital imaging appear as sharp as those seen through a microscope. Add to this the imaging processing capabilities found in most software applications enhance images so that some artifacts can be more easily seen than by the human eye.

Microscopes form a round image while computer monitors display a rectangular image, therefore some cropping is necessary. Selecting the correct camera adapter is crucial to obtaining the largest field of view and avoiding distortion in corner regions. Tek-Reps offers a wide variety of adapters for almost all makes and models of microscopes.

This is called parfocality. If your microscope is operating correctly it is just a matter of making a couple of minor adjustments to maintain focus throughout the magnification range. Contact our experts to find out how.
